Thanks to a reader for the heads up. We’ve been anticipating the opening on 14th Street south of Rhode Island (near the 7-11) for quite a while. I stopped by Tuesday afternoon and the owner let me take some photos and sent me the menus (which may be tweaked a bit including adding more items). The Ghanaian owners will continue to bring the
authentic West African food and music similar to what was provided
at the eclectic neighborhood of Adams Morgan. Large portions and
bargain prices make this Cafe a favorite among locals, professionals
and students. A variety of stews—including chicken, beef,
goat and seafood—are served with rice. Make sure you try the
Fufu, a traditional dish of pounded plantain and cassava root.
